Brazil-Spain Call for Proposals
Spain’s University of Salamanca (USAL) and the São Paulo Research Institute (FAPESP) on 10/12/2012 issued a wide-ranging call for proposals with a maximum value of EUR 20,000 per project. No ceiling was given for the overall value of the joint financing.
Projects must be submitted by 15/03/2012 and successful proposals are expected to be notified by 30th June 2013. Research projects will begin in September 2013.

FAPESP and Universidad de Salamanca make public this Call for Proposals and invite interested researchers affiliated with the Universidad de Salamanca and researchers affiliated with Higher Education and Research Institutions in the State of São Paulo, who are, in addition, Principal Investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP within the following support lines: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs), to submit research proposals for the exchange of researchers between the State of São Paulo and Spain, under the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth.
The purpose of this Call is to define the conditions for submission of proposals for exchange of researchers from the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and from the USAL, Spain, within the scope of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement between FAPESP and the USAL. This Call for Proposals is being announced simultaneously by FAPESP and USAL.
Researchers regarded as eligible to submit proposals within the scope of this Call are:
2.1 By FAPESP: Principal Investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP within the support lines: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs).
2.2 By USAL: Main investigators leading groups of Excellence within Castilla y León and groups recognized within USAL who work with or foresee future collaborations in developing projects with groups eligible through FAPESP.
2.3 Proposals should include the names of the researchers from both the State of São Paulo and USAL and clearly state the mutual benefits of the collaboration.
