The Financial Times  published  (23/10/2013) a special survey on Brazilian innovation that highlights science and technology — both applied and research — across various industry sectors including:

  • Aerospace
  • Energy
  • Agriculture
  • Internet
  • Training
  • Immunology

Brazil has been winning plaudits for its business culture but, asks  editorial guest writer Marcos Troyjo: “why does the country fare so poorly when it comes to setting up tech-intensive, innovative companies? Why do we not see more start-ups, vying to become Googles, Teslas or Twitters?”
